On March 22, 2010 an indecisive Olexander appeared on Roger’s Daytime television programme to “Let the People Speak” and choose one from four works to donate for the Drawing for Art fundraiser at Station Gallery. On November 22, 2010 Olexander appeared on Roger’s Daytime television programme wearing his “curator hat” to speak about Tony Romano’s exhibition Notary Moon. Pinocchio made a special guest-star appearance.
Radio Canada International reviewed Olexander’s As We Slept exhibition held in late-autumn, 2008 in Winnipeg. This exhibition marked the 75th anniversary of the Famine-Genocide in Soviet Ukraine.
At the end of December 2004, Olexander travelled to Ukraine as an accredited elections observer. There he experienced the momentous events of the Orange Revolution which saw the birth of a new European nation.
